Welcome to Connect@4pm: A New Worshipping Community at St Margaret's Church Centre, Whitnash

We are excited to announce the launch of our New Worshipping Community, Connect @4pm, an informal, non-traditional service that meets every Sunday at 4pm at the Church Centre on Whitnash Road (rather than in the church itself). 
Connect@4pm offers an alternative to our 10am traditional service, and aims to provide an accessible, intergenerational worship space where individuals can explore faith in a welcoming environment. We recognize that traditional church services can be difficult to access for many reasons, including timing conflicts, complex language, behavioural expectations and separate children's activities which some children struggle to engage with. Our 4pm service is designed to address these barriers, fostering a sense of community and belonging, in a safe and welcoming environment, with no expectations.

What to Expect
The service is structured around the “5Ws” – Welcome, Worship, Word (a Bible reading and short talk), Wonder (a time for response), and Whisper (prayer). The service lasts about 50-60 minutes and is followed by a shared meal for anyone who is hungry. The aim is always that there is something to engage everyone in their faith journey, whatever their age or ability level.

Integrating with the Wider Community
Connect@4pm is fully integrated with the wider St Margaret’s family, participating in midweek small groups, social events, and joint seasonal services. Social action is a key component, with initiatives like litter picking, gardening, and planned toddler groups, demonstrating our commitment to the local area.

Making a Difference
Our hope is to build a supportive community in the local area. By fostering a sense of belonging and belief in Jesus, we aim to transform lives and contribute to a more loving, Jesus-focused community.
